Nearly every culture has tales of power and magic related to fiber, spinning, threads, weaving, sewing, embroidery, and their products. The wealth of material made it difficult for me to select the best image to use a the link to this page. I chose an image of the Three Fates spinning, measuring and cutting the Thread as being one of the most representative of this genre.
